HHS Launches “GetActive“ Website During Secretary’s Take Back Your Health Tour

Secretary Kennedy joined Secretary Burgum on Colorado for the initiative’s announcement.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. joined Interior Secretary Doug Burgum in Grand Junction, Colorado, to announced the GetActive government website. The initiative is a collaborative effort between federal agencies to expand access to public lands and outdoor recreation opportunities and help Americans improve their health through movement, fitness, and recreation. Secretary Kennedy also visited Fort Carson to observe the nutritional improvements the U.S. Army has made for service members.

“The key to reversing America’s chronic disease epidemic is empowering people to take back their health,” Secretary Kennedy said. “We are helping people Get Active, Eat Real Food, and Live Real Life. From our public lands to our military bases to our senior care centers, these Colorado visits show how we are putting Make America Healthy Again into action.”

“Getting Americans outdoors and experiencing our nation’s vast public lands and waterways is one of the most effective ways to promote public health,” said Secretary Burgum. “This administration under President Trump is expanding our access to federal lands so families can reconnect with nature, veterans can heal, children can trade screens for the outdoors, communities can thrive and Americans can build healthier, more active lives.”
