President Trump said that negotiations with Anthropic are “going fine” at the G7 Summit.
President Donald Trump’s administration halted all use of two Anthropic artificial intelligence (AI) models last week for national security reasons. Amazon researchers had reported that a series of prompts provided information that could support a cyberattack. This information was supposed to be inaccessible to “jailbreaking.”
Anthropic announced late Friday, “The U.S. government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.”
Leaders at the Group of Seven (G7) Summit in France this week discussed AI and raised concerns about regaining access to Anthropic’s latest AI models.
President Trump said that negotiations with Anthropic were “going fine.” He said of the G7 discussion, “We had a great meeting with AI. We had all the top people here, and it was a great meeting. And, as you know, we’re building tremendous numbers of plants, but AI, we’re building the biggest, the biggest in the world.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump and administration officials as they seek to pursue AI advancements while balancing national security.
- For Commerce Secretary Lutnick as he oversees negotiations with AI technology companies and collaborates with U.S. cyber security personnel.
