Issue 637 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

President Biden’s administration will not send U.S. troops to assist Haitian national police as gang leaders have overtaken that nation’s seaport, airports, and prisons. National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby stated, “We’re working with international partners to provide immediate support to the Haitian National Police and expedite the deployment of the Multinational Security Support Mission that will help restore security urgently.“

Pray for the president and U.S. military advisors as they evaluate the security risks to other countries and requests for assistance.

Pray for AMERICA’S FOREIGN RELATIONS

Vice President Harris and other U.S. officials met with Israeli War Cabinet member Benny Gantz in Washington, D.C., to discuss a potential ceasefire in the war with Hamas. President Biden’s administration has committed to air-dropping humanitarian aid into Gaza after about a hundred Palestinians died in an incident surrounding an aid convoy.

Pray for U.S. and Israeli officials as they seek to gain the release of the remaining hostages held by Hamas.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Department of Health and Human Service officials are attempting to assist hospitals and healthcare providers in the aftermath of a cyberattack by a ransomware gang that shut down Change Healthcare, the nation’s largest medical payment and claim processor, part of UnitedHealth Group. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced recommendation that facilitate prior authorizations and accelerated payments.

For HHS officials as they encourage and promote cybersecurity as part of America’s healthcare infrastructure.

Pray for AMERICA’S ECONOMY

President Joe Biden and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo recently announced the administration’s investments in microchip manufacturing with the goal of going from the U.S. producing zero percent of the world’s leading-edge logic chips to 20 percent by 2030.

Pray for U.S. commerce and economic officials to be led by the Lord as they provide grants and funding to grow manufacturing and production.

Pray for Needs Across the States

Voters in the state of Alaska have successfully obtained signatures to get a measure on the ballot in November that seeks to repeal ranked-choice voting.

The Wyoming legislature is considering a law that would ban surgery, puberty blockers, and hormone therapies for minors.

Pray for state public servants who seek to protect children from irreversible transgender treatments and for officials as they prepare for the general election in November.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“The Law does one thing. It points out what you do wrong. And Paul tells us then in Galatians, that it does it so well that we get frustrated and realize we can’t do this, and that’s what brings us to Christ. … The Law tells us how to live in a harmonious, peaceful society and how to have a good life on this earth. But that’s all it can do. … The Law cannot justify. The Law cannot empower. Grace can justify and empower. … [Grace will] change everything about the way you live. It’ll change the way you look at God. It’ll change the way you look at others. And it’ll change the way you even see yourself. … Love is the most powerful governing force in the world. Not law. Love.“ – Pastor Robert Morris, Gateway Church, March 2024
