Bring the Children
The researchers Grey Matter Research and Infinity Concepts released a new report titled “The Spiritual Journey: How Evangelicals Come to Faith,” in which they revealed that 72 percent of evangelical believers said they came to Christ before they were adults. The plurality of those surveyed said they found salvation in Jesus between ages 5 and 9. Many of those same children grew up in Christian homes and cannot say with specificity when they made their decision. Jesus urged that children be allowed to come to Him and not be restrained from doing so. He also reminded adults that “unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3). Pray for those engaged in child evangelism, for after-school Bible club leaders, for Sunday School teachers, and for parents who are endeavoring to bring up children in the way they should go.
