NSA Establishes New AI Security Center

The focus is on the safe development of artificial intelligence systems.

The National Security Agency (NSA) Director General Paul Nakasone announced that the agency is establishing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security Center. The NSA recently concluded a congressionally mandated study on AI and found a large gap in organized security around the technology. This new AI Security Center, under the Cybersecurity Collaboration Center, is intended to bring global partners together to develop the best practices necessary to safely develop the new technology.

“AI security is about protecting AI systems from learning, doing, and revealing the wrong thing. It is a set of practices to protect AI systems and life cycles from digital attacks, theft, and damage,” General Nakasone said. “We must build a robust understanding of AI vulnerabilities, foreign intelligence threats to these AI systems.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For General Nakasone to seek God’s guidance as he directs the National Security Agency.
  • For members of Congress as they provide oversight of artificial intelligence development.
  • For those who are appointed to the AI Security Center to be prudent in their collaborations.
