Your Reason to Praise
Some may wonder where God has been, or why He seems silent while the people of the nation cry out. Perhaps you have been tempted to wonder about God’s purposes as America has ended its longest war and left Afghanistan… and some of the national promises have been broken. Add to that the devastation of wildfires in the west and the flooding and tornados spawned by the recent hurricane. What do you do when your faith is shaken? Take a moment to look at the Lord’s big picture. It is His desire that all people should come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. It could be He is rattling the world from pole to pole and around its circumference to get the attention of humans before it is too late. He alone knows His timetable. Take heart, He is still the King of the universe, and nothing happens that does not pass before Him first. Place your confidence in Him and calm yourself knowing that there will come a time “when all the tribes of the earth… will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory“ (Matthew 24:30). What a reason to praise Him!
