Debate Begins on Infrastructure

Administration’s $3 trillion proposal would target education, infrastructure, climate, and workforce development.

President Biden met privately with members of Congress on Monday to discuss his administration’s upcoming $3 trillion infrastructure bill. Within the proposal is roughly $1 trillion for roads, bridges, rail lines, cellular service, and other infrastructure improvements. The additional $2 trillion is set to pay for universal community college and pre-k, as well as paid family leave.

The package was described by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as “a big, bold and transformational infrastructure package.“ In order to fund these new programs, the president’s administration has proposed raising the corporate tax rate, and increase taxes on individuals who earn more than 400,000 per year.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would guide the president’s administration as they plan for the rebuilding of infrastructure.
  • For wisdom for members of Congress as the infrastructure package is crafted.
  • For the Lord to help lawmakers to work together for the good of the nation.
