N95 Masks Created Using 3D-Printing

Defense Department works with partners to produce respirators.

The Department of Defense is working with manufacturing partners using 3D-printing technology to produce N95 respirators. These masks have replaceable cartridges or filters that offer greater prevention against COVID-19. These medical devices will meet military regulations and needs.

Air Force Major Daniel Williams said, “When the pandemic hit, the on-hand supply of N95 respirators, specifically FFRs, was quickly exhausted and traditional N95 manufacturers were not prepared to meet this new demand. Therefore, the primary purpose of the N95 working group is to develop N95 respirators to supplement existing supplies of respirators.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That the partnership between the DOD and manufacturers produces effective equipment.
  • That God would protect the U.S. military from the virus.
  • For all U.S. troops serving in harm’s way.
