Pentagon IG Approves Cloud Computing Contract

$10 Billion deal signed with Microsoft.

The Department of Defense’s Inspector General (IG) announced on Wednesday that an internal investigation into a cloud computing contract with Microsoft had been found to be in line with federal standards. The $10 billion contract passed over Amazon Web Services as a potential contract causing some within Amazon to raise concerns of shady dealings.

The IG, however, did reveal that some information was withheld from its investigation. The White House did not allow full access to witnesses for the investigation. The report did not unveil if Microsoft was appropriately declared the winner of the contract, rather that no improper decision-making processes had taken place.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to lead the Defense Department toward the best working relationships in the future.
  • For the White House and Defense Department to cooperate to bring the best technological developments to the nation.
  • For Defense Department Inspector General to continue to be led to the truth
