State and local agencies can apply for funding before December 5.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) invested up to $18 million into the 2026 Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grant program last week, opening up applications for funding until December 5. The Farm to School Grant program was first implemented in 2013 and works to partner local farms with USDA child nutrition programs through education, school gardens, food procurement, and more.
“These initiatives are one of the best ways we can deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to children, while also strengthening local agriculture,” said Secretary Brooke Rollins. “These grants will open new doors for small family farms, expand access to healthy food in schools, and inspire the next generation of Great American Farmers.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Rollins as she encourages the applicants for the Farm to School grants.
- For USDA officials to be discerning as they assess applications for health school food programs.
