Healing Our Land
Dear Prayer Warrior,
Never before have we witnessed such a pivotal moment in the battle between good and evil—a battle being fought not just in distant lands, but in our very own states, towns, cities, and even our neighborhoods. Yet, even amidst these challenges, we are seeing incredible shifts toward healing in our land! Positive changes are emerging from our national and state governments, bringing victories against evil and fostering social improvements in areas like children’s education and health, national security, religious freedoms, and more.
God’s healing is a powerful, spiritual solution that requires our active participation. Even the closest followers of Jesus were once perplexed when faced with overwhelming evil. Jesus’ response was clear: spiritual opposition demands prayer, fasting, and faith (Mark 9:28-29).
And our Almighty God, the Creator of all, has given us a profound promise: If my people [you and me], who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I [God] will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land [our nation] (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Are hearts truly turning toward Him? Yes, we believe so! Consider these examples as incredible signs of healing:
- A 2023 study showed a faith-based rehabilitation center in a high drug overdose county in Ohio achieved an astounding 95.7% success rate in helping people overcome addiction.
- “Serve Tours” are pairing volunteer medical professionals with remote international churches, leading to thousands of villagers turning from ancestral worship to Christianity.
- Last May, California hosted the largest synchronized baptism in American history, with over 12,000 people baptized across the state on Pentecost Sunday!
- U.S. universities are experiencing significant spiritual awakenings through all-night prayer gatherings. The Collegiate Day of Prayer in February 2025 saw 6,011 campuses adopted by 3,207 churches, with auditoriums overflowing!
- There’s been a remarkable increase in people openly sharing the Gospel and their testimonies at sporting events and on social media, reaching millions and fostering a global community of believers.
Surely, you have witnessed other signs of healing around you, too. Now, more than ever, our country depends upon your faithful prayers, because they are clearly working!
As we approach our 25th year of ministry, we reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared. Many of you, our dedicated members, have been with us from the very beginning. Thank you for your unwavering prayer and support!
God has blessed us with talented staff, a paid-in-full national facility, cutting-edge technologies, and our own independent servers. Our lean operation is a tremendous strength, allowing us to achieve low costs while still reaching many. For example, our website sees over 130 million contacts, and our emails reach out 16 million times a year. All of this is made possible by you.
We are at a crucial juncture for our ministry. New members sign up every day, but over the past six months, giving has gone down. Q: Who can join?
A. You and everyone who prays! We encourage you to invite family, friends, and church members to join. They can text INFO to 772911 for full information. (U.S. and Canadian cell phone numbers only at this time.)
Q: Does this work on any smart device or phone?
A: Pray First will work with any registered phone device that has a 10-digit number (U.S. and Canada with active SIM/eSIM). It is not compatible with third-party messaging systems that do not require a phone number. This allows us to use the largest text messaging providers for near-instant sending, to reach millions of cell phone across the country.
Q: When can I expect my first text message?
A: You will receive an immediate response confirming that you are now a Prayer First Responder. Regular text notifications will begin early October when the system goes live.
Q: What should I do when I receive a message?
A: When a prayer text message arrives on your phone, take the matter before the Lord. You will be joining a vast community of prayer warriors who received the same message and praying with you at the same time.
Q: What if I prefer to receive email?
A: If you are signed up to receive daily and/or weekly emails from the prayer team, those will continue with no interruption. This is simply a new service aimed at providing timely prayer needs to your fingertips as quickly and effectively as possible. Email can sometimes be slowed by service providers, or even blocked, and this service will ensure unfiltered delivery.
Q: How often will I get a text message?
A: You may receive 1 or 2 per week, with up to 8 messages per month. Messages will be limited to local daytime hours.
Q: Are there any fees?
A: This is a free service for all who participate, and most cell phone providers offer free texting. We trust God’s people will see the impact value this service and support our costs – as they have over the past 22 years.
Q: What if I need to stop for any reason?
A: You can opt-out at any time by simply replying STOP to 772911. And you can rejoin again later at your convenience.
