Issue 704 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed that U.S. military personnel were authorized to support federal immigration law enforcement in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida last week. Operating under a Title 10 duty status, the service members did not directly participate in ICE operations but offered logistical support as well as administrative and clerical functions at ICE detention facilities. The defense secretary has mobilized thousands more California National Guard troops this week to protect federal property.

Pray for U.S. troops and National Guard members as they provide logistical and administrative assistance to support ICE operations.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

As Russia and Ukraine continue to launch attacks against each other, Ukraine has taken action to approve private U.S. investors for lithium mining. This first step to begin implementing the minerals deal that was signed in April will define the bidding terms for companies to mine the state-owned lithium field in central Ukraine.

Pray for President Trump and U.S. officials as they continue to seek a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced that the United States is working on evacuating American citizens from Israel who want to leave as the U.S. considers intervening in the Israel-Iran war. President Trump said on Wednesday, “Nobody knows what I’m going to do.” The ambassador urged Americans to register via the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program for evacuation flights or cruise ship departures.

Pray for wisdom for President Trump, Secretary of State Rubio, Ambassador Huckabee, and U.S. national security advisers as they deliberate next steps regarding Iran.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

Food and Drug Administrator Marty Makary announced the Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher (CNPV) program under which a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists will pre-review the submitted drug application information. Commissioner Makary said, “The national priority review program will allow companies to submit the lion’s share of the drug application before a clinical trial is complete so that we can reduce inefficiencies. The ultimate goal is to bring more cures and meaningful treatments to the American public.”

Pray for discernment for Commissioner Makary as he seeks to streamline and facilitate the approval of treatments and cures.

Pray for Needs Across the States

The Delaware Department of Transportation has proposed a toll hike on all its major highways. The proposal would also charge out-of-state drivers nearly double the amount that those who have a state-issued E-ZPass would pay. A department official said the increase would help offset the motor fuel tax revenue decline that has resulted from the rise in electric and fuel-efficient vehicles.

Governor Jim Pillen expressed support for federal immigration enforcement operations in Nebraska. A large raid of a meat packing plant in the state by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement resulted in the arrest of roughly half of its workers, who did not have legal work authorization. Two days later, the waiting area of the facility was filled with American job applicants.

Pray for state governors and executive officials to be prudent in their actions and decisions.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“I want you to know that God… is looking for people that are ready and prepared to fulfill His will. … The Lord speaking from Ezekiel 22, says, ‘I searched for a man from among them who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me.‘ Why? ‘That I should not destroy it.‘ …
We see the evil in the world, we see the tragedy, we see disasters, and God is saying, in the midst of all of this, ‘This is not My desire. I’m searching for a man, for a student, for a woman, that you could stand in the gap. That I will fill you and use you. And I will bring light and goodness and restoration and healing.‘” Chip Ingram, Living on the Edge, June 2025
