President Appoints Ambassador to Luxembourg

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett is chosen to represent U.S.

On Wednesday, President Biden announced that he had selected Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to be the U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg. If approved by the Senate, he will represent the United States to the European nation of about 600,000 people. The Milwaukee mayor was a strong early supporter of President Biden’s run for office in 2020.

Mayor Barrett is currently the longest-serving mayor of any large city in America. He began his administration when he was elected in 2004. He is also the Chair of the Great Lakes and Saint Lawrence Cities Initiative, which is an environmental cooperative of American and Canadian cities. He previously served in Congress as a House Representative, and also as a State Representative and State Senator of Wisconsin.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to have wisdom on other key appointments in his administration
  • For the Senate to be discerning as they consider the president’s nominees.
  • For Mayor Tom Barrett to be used by God in whatever position he holds.
