U.S. Announces Energy and Infrastructure Agreements at Three Seas Initiative Summit

The “Trump Peace Pipeline” focuses on gas, nuclear, and digital development in Central and Eastern Europe.

U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright joined officials and private-sector representatives at the recent Three Seas Initiative (3SI) Summit to announce multiple agreements and investments that are intended to expand energy and infrastructure development across Central and Eastern Europe. Among the actions was the launch of a framework to support new natural gas infrastructure projects, including pipelines intended to increase the region’s capacity to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States.

“These partnerships are rooted in our mutual support for an energy addition agenda — more jobs, more opportunity, and more investment,“ Secretary Wright said. “All of this is evidenced by the billions of dollars of deals signed today. The future is extremely bright for the nations that join the United States in pursuing common sense energy policies that deliver prosperity and security for their respective people.”

Additional agreements included support for a regional gas pipeline involving Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, along with expanded civil nuclear cooperation between the U.S. and Croatia. Other initiatives included a feasibility study related to small modular nuclear reactors in Croatia and a major private-sector investment in a large-scale data center project. The announcements took place as part of broader discussions among participating countries on infrastructure, energy supply, and long-term regional cooperation.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Wright, regional leaders, and partner governments as they implement the energy agreements.
  • For U.S. officials to be discerning as they promote energy projects to strengthen the economy and encourage development.
