Issue 760- National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

Secretary Pete Hegseth halted the suspension of eight South Carolina National Guard helicopter pilots who conducted a low flyover for a crowd of beachgoers during a “Salute from the Shore” event on Independence Day. The South Carolina National Guard had called the temporary suspensions a routine safety measure rather than a disciplinary action.

Pray for Secretary Hegseth and U.S. military leadership as they seek to ensure the esprit de corps of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Pray for America’s Foreign Relations

The State Department designated ten Cuban state and paramilitary entities for sanctions this week to reduce “the Cuban government’s sources of financing and tools of oppression.” The federal agency said the U.S. is prepared to help the island nation with its blackouts, but that the regime “has been stalling approvals.” Cuba has also reportedly come into possession of hundreds of Iranian drones. President Trump said that the U.S. “would figure it out fast” and “take care of it in short order.”

Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Dr. Michael Leiter stated that U.S. Representative Ro Khanna of California was not detained by Israeli Defense Forces on his visit to Judea and Samaria, known as the West Bank. The ambassador said that the U.S. legislator had coordinated the trip with Palestinian activists rather than the Israeli government and entered a restricted military zone where civilians are not allowed.

Pray for President Trump, Secretary Rubio, and U.S. officials as they determine next steps regarding hostile nations.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Food and Drug Administration issued a recall for 2.5 million bottles of Lupin Pharmaceuticals’ eye drops due to the possible presence of “a foreign substance.” The Class II recall designation for the prednisolone acetate eye drops, used to reduce inflammation, is due to potential adverse effects. The agency recommended that patients contact their eye doctor or pharmacist rather than simply pausing use of the drops.

Pray for Acting Commissioner Diamantas and FDA officials as they issue public safety alerts and recalls.

Pray for Needs Across the States

Members of the Idaho legislature met this month to discuss the future of research and development of advanced nuclear technology and energy in the state. After four recent successful nuclear reactor criticality tests at the Idaho National Laboratory, the legislators discussed the needs of the population, manufacturing, agriculture, data centers, and national security as they relate to nuclear advancements. The officials seek to balance “public safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible innovation.”

New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte vetoed nine bills this month. The rejected legislation included measures that would double tolls for out-of-state visitors, a study into universal charter schools, a policy to facilitate the removal of obscene or harmful content from public schools, and a bill that would strengthen conscience protections for healthcare workers who avoid participating in abortion procedures. The legislature will vote later this year on the measures and determine which receive a two-thirds majority required to override the governor’s veto.

Pray for state governors, secretaries of state, and legislators as they evaluate current state laws and consider updates and alterations to them.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“ We must recognize, we must discover: what is it that dominates? Now, that’s a very violent word if you think about it: dominant, dominate. But I picked that word deliberately because to dominate means to control, or to have under your heel, or to bring under subjection.
I forget who it was who said this, but it’s so accurate: that without Christ, we are rebels against God. Now, how do we make sure that we’re not rebels against God? That is that we make very, very certain that our power and our pursuit of Jesus Christ is done by the power of God. The Book of Acts makes it very clear that what we do as believers is to be empowered by the Holy Spirit or else we should just wait and get His power before we embark upon our own. I want to be dominated by the Spirit of God. …

To walk with God and know God is to open up a world—it almost seems like a contradiction, I know—but to open up a world of dynamic, and thrill, and victory, and freedom whereby God dominates you and nothing of this world, including yourself, no longer dominates you.” – Pastor Jack Hibbs, Real Life, “Disciplines of Domination”
