The chairman said the action is being taken to defend children and parents.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and four states are suing the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) for promoting false and deceptive claims to promote transgender interventions, particularly for minors.
FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson stated that, during President Trump’s second term, his agency “has been aggressively protecting children and the rights of parents across every part of the economy.“ He highlighted this lawsuit as a “huge step in defense of children and parents.“
The chairman continued, “We have filed an enforcement action against the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) for making false and unsubstantiated claims about the safety and efficacy of medical transition procedures, and for providing to doctors the means to sell those procedures to children and parents.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Chairman Ferguson to be discerning as he seeks to protect children and parents from harmful sex rejecting procedures.
- For state officials as they seek to hold groups and physicians accountable for false and deceptive health claims.
