The Office of Defects Investigation is looking into twenty-two reports were filed claiming Waymo vehicles regularly violated traffic safety laws.

According to the reports, some of the Waymo cars collided with stationary objects, including parked vehicles. Some cars drove in opposite lanes into oncoming traffic, entering construction zones, or even “the sole vehicle operated during a collision.”

The agency is probing the automated systems‘ ability to detect and respond to avoid collisions and traffic signals and devices.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for NHTSA agents as they investigate the safety of self-driving technology.
  • For U.S. transportation officials as they seek to protect drivers from collisions.
