Energy Department Distributes Energy Grant Funding

The fifth tranche of awards totaling $26 million was granted to 37 local governments.

The Department of Energy (DOE) recently distributed the fifth round of grants for local energy efficiency programs, awarding $26.9 million to nine states, 27 local governments, and one Tribal government. This funding will be used to upgrade existing solar energy systems, increase energy storage capacity, and develop plans to install new energy-efficient technology.

“Energy efficient upgrades are a surefire way to bring down costs and shore up resiliency for communities across the nation,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. “President Biden’s Investing in America agenda is equipping local governments with funds to transform clean energy plans into real actions that deliver benefits in every corner of the country.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Secretary Granholm as she oversees the granting of funds to develop alternate energy sources and make energy efficient upgrades.
  • For the president and his energy advisors to receive God’s guidance as they implement power generating and storage policies.
