DOE Announces Investment in Emission Reduction Technology

Funding to address difficulties of industrial decarbonization.

The Department of Energy recently invested $254 million into projects dedicated to decarbonizing the industrial sector. About 30 percent of America’s total carbon emissions come from domestic manufacturing plants, operations that find it difficult to reduce the energy necessary to function. These funds will be distributed to 49 research projects that are working to create technological solutions for manufacturers’ energy needs.

“Today’s announcement will help advance the innovative technologies we need to lower costs and improve energy efficiency in America’s factories and industrial centers,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. “Ensuring America’s industrial sector and its robust workforce remain strong and competitive is key to maintaining our nation’s edge as a global economic powerhouse and accelerating President Biden’s vision of a strong, made-in-America clean energy future.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Granholm to be wise in the pursuit of carbon emissions reduction.
  • For Energy Department officials as they support the development of programs and technologies that will reduce industrial carbon emissions.
