Issue 630 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Elections

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio threw out a challenge to Ohio’s election integrity law requiring residents to present a form of identification when casting their ballots. The court said the law is constitutional and there is no evidence that it “burdens” voters.

Pray for state officials and federal judges as cases regarding the aspects of election integrity, including voter identification, are heard and decided.

Pray for America’s Military

As Congress continues seeking to resolve funding issues, they have made a $2.2 billion exception to the Navy in order for the service to continue its Columbus-class submarine program.

Pray for military leaders and commanders as they seek to develop and maintain new and upgraded weapons systems, such as the Columbia submarines.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

A Defense Department Inspector General report reveals that more than $1 billion in weapons provided to Ukraine have not been properly tracked. This raises questions about the ability of the U.S. to monitor aid.

Pray for U.S. officials as they assess the billions in aid and weapons given to Ukraine that may have been subject to the risk of theft or diversion and has not otherwise been accounted for.

Pray for AMERICA’S FOREIGN RELATIONS

Taiwan’s ruling party has won the presidential election, as China’s territorial claims were rejected. President Lai Ching-te said, “Every vote is valued, and this is Taiwan’s hard-earned democracy.” The legislature is closely divided with the independence-favored party holding a very slight majority.

Pray for the newly elected leaders of Taiwan as they stand against the threats of China.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

Sixty percent of the legislature in Ohio voted to override Governor Mike DeWine’s veto of a bill that bans minors from receiving transgender medical intervention and prevents biological males from taking part in girls’ and women’s sports. Physicians who provide such care for minors would be “subject to discipline by the applicable professional licensing board” under the bill.

Pray for parents, students, and educators as society has advocated for transgenderism and influenced children who are confused about their identity. Pray for members of state legislatures to continue to protect minors from life-altering medical procedures and treatments.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

U.S. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said it is time for Israel to “transition to low-intensity operations” in Gaza. “We believe it’s the right time,” he said. However, on the 100th day of the war, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “No one will stop us, not The Hague, not the axis of evil, and not anyone else.”

Pray for wisdom for U.S. officials and Israeli leaders as international pressure mounts against Israel’s continued war against Hamas in Gaza.

Pray for AMERICA’S ECONOMY

A new report on rental housing shows that rates across the country have been on a downward trend since late last summer, presently down 3.2 percent from the summer peak. Apartment rental costs have been on the decline for five consecutive months, although they are expected to rise again in the spring. The national rental vacancy index is 6.5 percent, slightly higher than in the days before COVID.

Pray for renters who experience even diminished rental rates as still too high.

Pray for Goodness in America

An American pro-life coffee company, Seven Weeks Coffee, has donated more than $280,000 to pregnancy centers since its founding in 2021. Company Founder and CEO Anton Krecic said, “Pregnancy care centers are the hands and feet of the pro-life movement. They are at the frontlines – helping women in need and defending life. It takes practical resources to meet families at their point of need, and we are privileged to help in a tangible way.”

Give thanks for the owners of corporations across the nation who stand for life, family, God, and country.

Pray for Needs Across the States

Medicaid regulators in Maryland say they will now cover a number of sex change procedures and treatments through the taxpayer-funded program. These transgender interventions will include hair removal and voice lessons, breast implants, fertility preservation services, facial cosmetic surgery, and plastic surgeries on the various parts of the body.

The construction of several new apartment buildings is being funded by the Maine State Housing Authority to house illegal immigrants. Free rent for two years is also included for the new residents while they apply for work permits.

Pray for state officials who are considering and implementing extraordinary taxpayers costs for gender dysphoric and illegal immigrant care.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

If you’re not asking, ‘Are we living in the End Times?‘ — you should be. These increasingly extreme events are God’s way to get our attention. This world is temporary. Your life is brief. Consider who Jesus is. Consider your relationship with Him. And if you’ve been curious about  Are We Living in the End Times? — I believe we could be, sooner than you think. “ – Dr. Robert Jeffress, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Dallas, January 2024
