DOI Releases Funding to 30 Water Resource Projects

Distributions made under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

The Department of the Interior (DOI) announced the distribution of $51 million to 30 new environmental water resource projects this month. Each project, based in 11 Western states, monitors and manages the use of local water sources, improving groundwater filtration, preventing runoff erosion, and utilizing various techniques to support the natural flow of water in each unique ecosystem.

“Adequate, resilient, and safe water supplies are fundamental to the health, economy, and security of every community in our nation,” said Secretary Deb Haaland. “The Interior Department is focused on ensuring that funding through President Biden’s Investing in America agenda is going to collaborative projects throughout the West that will benefit the American people.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Interior Secretary Haaland as she oversees the funding of water conservation projects.
  • For the water project managers to make effective and efficient use of the funding.
  • For Interior Department officials as they address drought and water resource management.
