Education Secretary Meets with Jewish Organizations on College Antisemitism

Muslim students have also experienced threats.

Education Secretary Miguel Cardona met with a dozen Jewish leaders from prominent organizations this week to discuss the significant increase in antisemitism on college campuses.

Islamic terrorist group Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, leading Israel to launch a number of attacks in the Gaza Strip. Since then, college campuses have seen a rise in aggression against both Jewish and Muslim students.

The groups recommended that the Education Department implement training on antisemitism for American educators, and to continue engaging with collegiate activity.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For college chaplains of all faiths as they seek to comfort and support students who are targeted for their religion.
  • For wisdom for Education Secretary Cardona as he considers measures to address growing antisemitism.
  • For U.S. educators as they seek to protect Jewish and Muslim students from safety threats.
