House Considers Impeachment of Attorney General

A whistleblower report alleges the attorney general stopped an investigation into the president’s son.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy commented on a possible impeachment inquiry into Attorney General Merrick Garland if a whistleblower’s report proves correct. An Internal Revenue Service employee alleged that Attorney General Garland prevented U.S. Attorney David Weiss from further investigating Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son.

Hunter Biden recently agreed to plead guilty to willfully failing to pay income taxes and he entered into an agreement to avert a gun-related charge.

Attorney General Garland has denied the whistleblower’s testimony. Speaker McCarthy stated, “If the whistleblowers’ allegations are true, this will be a significant part of a larger impeachment inquiry into Merrick Garland’s weaponization of [the Department of Justice].”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Speaker McCarthy as he considers the seriousness of the allegations.
  • For members of the House as they investigate the whistleblower’s report.
  • For Attorney General Garland to uphold justice under the law.
