House Committee Requests COVID Info from Chinese Embassy

Beijing seeks to curtail further investigations.

Legislators in the House of Representatives have sent a letter to Qin Gang, China’s Ambassador to the U.S., to request China’s compliance in investigations looking into the source of COVID-19. The letter was written by Representative Brad Wenstrup, the chairman of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, who also highlighted various attempts by the Chinese embassy to curtail investigation efforts.

A number of emails sent by the Chinese embassy opposed the work of U.S. legislators looking into the matter and sought to dissuade further investigations into the origins of the coronavirus.

“Continued stonewalling by China will not only harm the globe’s ability to predict, prepare, protect and prevent the next pandemic but will also — as your staff so eloquently said — fail to promote ‘international solidarity,’” Congressman Wenstrup’s letter read.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For members of Congress as they continue to seek answers regarding the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • For Congressman Wenstrup as he pursues information from the Chinese embassy.
