Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor. – Proverbs 21:21

Three years ago today, President Donald Trump declared a national emergency in the United States due to the spread of COVID-19. The nation entered into a new period of adversity as Americans lost loved ones to the disease and to the complications of the pandemic. This period highlighted the need for citizens to cooperate with one another and care for those in society who are most vulnerable. Today’s passage from Proverbs is a reminder of your mission as a believer to show the love and character of God in your interactions with your neighbors. While the effects of the pandemic have diminished enough that the majority of people have been able to return to a sense of normalcy, many still live with the effects today. Ask that God would reveal to you the ways you can show kindness to those around you today.

As the Lord leads, pray with us…

  • For Secretary Xavier Becerra to seek the Lord’s guidance as he heads the Department of Health and Human Services.
  • For Director Rochelle Walensky to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention with integrity and prudence.
