Today, President Joe Biden is going to visit the Central California Coast. He will meet with first responders and state and local officials to survey the recent flood damage.

A three-week series of major winter “atmospheric river” storms have caused dangerous flash flooding and mudslides throughout the region.

The president has already approved a disaster declaration authorizing federal assistance for recovery efforts. Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security are already on the scene in California counties particularly affected by the floods and mudslides.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president’s safe travels to and from California.
  • For wisdom for the president and officials as they assess the damage and need for federal assistance.
  • For residents in California and other states recently hit with severe weather.
