Representative Pocan to Chair Congressional Equality Caucus

He outlined the legislative focus of the group.

Representative Mark Pocan of Wisconsin has been chosen as the new chairman of the Congressional Equality Caucus and will be responsible for setting the agenda of the caucus for the next two years. The Congressional Equality Caucus was formerly known as the LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus, and the outgoing chairman Representative David Cicilline, of Rhode Island, will continue to serve on the caucus as one of its six LGBTQ co-chairs.

Congressman Pocan outlined his focus on combating discriminatory legislation as the new chairman of the caucus, stating, “The Equality Caucus will do everything in our power to defeat anti-LGBTQI+ bills and amendments proposed by extremist anti-LGBTQI+ politicians this Congress.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Congressman Pocan as he heads the equality caucus.
  • For prudence for members of the caucus as they attempt to prevent discrimination.
