Pentagon Orders 14 Anti-Drone Weapons for Ukraine

L3Harris Technologies awarded a $40 million weapons contract.

The Department of Defense has awarded a $40 million contract to L3Harris Technologies, requesting 14 of their VAMPIRE anti-drone kits to add to Ukraine’s defense arsenal. The Vehicle Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment (VAMPIRE) kits will be finished by the end of the year, the weapons manufacturer said, with four being completed by summer and the other ten being completed by next winter.

The kits will be installed on U.S.-provided vehicles once the country of Ukraine receives them. This contract is separate from a new weapons package that was unveiled at the same time, which will provide Ukraine with another $3 billion in weapons from the Department of Defense.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Lloyd Austin to seek the Lord as he oversees U.S. defenses.
  • For the Joint Chiefs of Staff as they assess international situations and advise the president.
  • For the president to be led by God to make wise decisions.
