The Peace of God
Do you have a singular favorite Christmas carol? Bringing the thousands of choices down to just one is difficult, but chances are, somewhere within its lyrics, you will find “peace.” Indeed, “peace on Earth” was in the very first Christmas carol, sung by the angels to the shepherds! But what peace are you experiencing? Peace on the Earth will wait a while longer, for war and violence, darkness and confusion are everywhere. Yet, in the midst of all the chaos, you can have peace WITH God and the peace OF God, when you give Him your life and your trust. “Not as the world gives,” is the kind of peace Jesus offers. Bow your heart to receive His peace this Christmas.
