Defense Department Releases Ukrainian Assistance Fact Sheet

Lists all past and current defense contributions to Ukraine.

In the wake of announcing another $1 billion in assistance for Ukraine’s defense efforts, the Department of Defense released a fact sheet on Friday outlining all of the assistance provided to Ukraine by the department since August 2021.

Thus far, President Biden’s administration has committed around $6.3 billion in security assistance to Ukraine, $5.6 billion of which has been given since Russia first attacked Ukraine on February 24.

Since then, the Department of Defense has authorized twelve drawdowns of equipment from their inventories to provide Ukraine with the tools they have requested to help defend themselves from Russia. Highlights of the 33 items provided in their fact sheet are 126 155mm Howitzers, 1,400 Stinger anti-aircraft systems, and 6,500 Javelin anti-armor systems.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For discernment for President Biden and Defense Secretary Austin as military equipment supplies are inventoried and assessed.
  • For Defense Department officials as military aid continues to be shipped to Ukraine.
  • For senators and representatives in Congress as they consider further requests for assistance to Ukraine.
