Senator Lujan Returns to Washington After Stroke

He stated, “I’m getting stronger each day.”

After experiencing a stroke toward the end of January and subsequent surgery, Senator Ben Ray Lujan of New Mexico has returned to Washington, D.C. In the evenly divided Senate, his vote is considered crucial for approving the president’s nominees.

“Through the love and support from my family, medical team, and New Mexicans, I’m getting stronger each day in D.C. where I’m completing my recovery,” Senator Lujan stated on Thursday. “I’m back at work and will return to the Senate floor soon,” he added.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Senator Lujan’s health and recovery.
  • For the members of the Senate to have wisdom as they vote on the president’s nominees.
  • For the president to seek God’s direction on whom to appoint to various open positions in the government.
