Pentagon Releases Global Posture Review

Concerns over China’s aggressive behavior remain at the forefront.

The U.S. Department of Defense released the results of the Global Posture Review that President Biden initiated earlier this year. This reassessment of global strategy is notable in that it is the first official statement of global posture since the United States pulled out of the middle east this summer.

In the review, the Pentagon briefly outlined its short-term strategy for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, and the Indo-Pacific. In the Indo-Pacific region, the review stated that the Defense Department would like to “deter potential Chinese military aggression and threats from North Korea.” Experts saw the review as a confirmation of many existing concerns, specifically with the continued increase in China’s aggression and military buildup.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Defense Secretary Austin as he continues to develop a more in-depth global strategy.
  • For members of the Defense Department as they work to protect America both at home and abroud.
  • That President Biden would be able to take these findings and use them to guide the vision of defense forward.
