President Visits Baltimore to Promote Infrastructure Bill

Addresses new spending to address rising consumer costs.

President Joe Biden traveled to Baltimore, Maryland, on Wednesday to begin his national tour promoting Congress’ passage of the $1 trillion infrastructure bill last week. The president highlighted that the infrastructure bill would add new capacity to Baltimore’s port, with $17 billion of the bill going towards port improvements.

President Biden also addressed the Labor Department’s recent report that consumer prices increased 6.2% since last year. He said, “Reversing this trend is a top priority for me.” One cause of the increase is supply chain issues brought about by clogged American ports. The president believes that the increase in capacity will allow for prices around the country to stabilize.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to look to the Lord for wisdom on how to address rising inflation.
  • For the president’s advisors as they provide recommendations on the economy and supply chain issues.
