Crowns
Over the past several years, people have been taken with television series about the British royal families. “Victoria” appeared in a PBS series and, more recently, “The Crown” dramatization of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II has been featured on Netflix. In both series, the ups and downs of leading so public a life have been put on display with attempts at accuracy. But they have nothing on you! “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession” (1 Peter 1:9). This sets you apart as a beloved family member of God’s kingdom. What a Monarch you serve… and you are privileged to call Him Father! So today, hold your head high and walk with all the dignity of one who wears a crown placed upon your head by the Lord Himself!
