Secretary of Interior Visits Utah Public Lands

Deb Haaland collects information for future decision making.

Department of the Interior Secretary Deb Haaland traveled to Utah recently to do reconnaissance regarding the use of public lands. Southern Utah has many parties interested in its future, with tribes land advocates pushing for sanctity and companies seeking free use.

While in Blanding, Utah, Secretary Haaland stated, “I know that decisions about public lands are incredibly impactful to the people who live nearby. But not just to us, not to just the folks who are here today, but people for generations to come. It’s our obligation to make sure that we protect lands for future generations so they can have the same experiences that the governor and I experienced today.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Haaland as she receives input from tribes and companies on the public land situation.
  • That God would lead the secretary to a healthy balance between preservation and development.
  • That the president and his advisers would seek God’s wisdom regarding public land use.
