President Biden Meets with Mexican President

Leaders to discuss migration, COVID-19, economy, and national security.

President Biden met virtually with Mexican President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador on Monday, allowing the two leaders to discuss several topics between the neighboring countries. Among the discussed topics were the ongoing measure to counteract COVID-19, migration between the two nations, national security issues, and how both countries can help each other’s economies.

Mexico and Canada are the United State’s second-largest trade partners after China. A major aspect of the conversation between the two leaders will be details related to President Trump’s signature USMCA trade agreement. The Biden administration has also rolled back immigration policies from the previous administration including the “Remain in Mexico” policy which forced those awaiting asylum hearings to stay in Mexico rather than wait in the U.S.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Lord to guide the president’s administration on the best courses of action with Mexico.
  • That God would give the State Department guidance on how to build strong relationships with our allies.
  • For God to work His will through the United States’ foreign policies and interactions.
