Pop Quiz
In any education, hours are spent on instruction that includes factual data and theories to be explored. Time is given to personalizing what the student learns. Often, to test if members of the class “get it,” the instructor will deliver a pop quiz, an unexpected turn in the curricula that can be painfully revealing for some and delightfully reassuring for others. It is no different with God. You spend hours in your Bible reading and study—or should—and personalize what you discover in your prayer conversations with the Lord. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, He asks, “Do you really get it?” He wants you to really know Him and His Word, to strengthen your heart relationship with Him, to acknowledge in every trial that your confidence rests in Him alone.
