Interior Department Announces Leadership Team

New department leaders say they will focus on climate change and tribal relations

On Wednesday, the Interior Department announced the names of several key people who will lead the department under the new president’s administration. The newly appointed individuals come from a wide range of backgrounds including federal, state, and tribal government roles, as well as from academic, humanitarian, and advocacy organizations. All the sworn-in members will undergo ethical training prior to beginning their roles.

President Biden’s Chief of Staff said, “We look forward to working with the dedicated civil servants at the Department to fulfill Interior’s missions, advance President Biden’s vision to honor our nation-to-nation relationship with Tribes and uphold the trust and treaty responsibilities to them, address the climate and nature crises, and build a clean energy future that creates good-paying jobs and powers our nation.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That the Lord would direct the leadership of the Interior Department as they oversee national land.
  • For God to be work through the department as they build relationships between various state, local governments, and tribal governments.
