FBI Investigates 160 Cases in Capitol Incursion

America’s military leaders speak out.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking information that will assist in identifying individuals who are actively instigating violence in Washington, D.C. They are accepting tips and digital media depicting demonstrations in the U.S. Capitol building and surrounding area in Washington, D.C., on January 6. Their website says, “We have deployed our full investigative resources and are working closely with our federal, state, and local partners to aggressively pursue those involved in criminal activity during the events of January 6.”

Federal prosecutors report over 160 cases that have been tied to the events there.  Prosecutors are looking at sedition charges in connection with the infiltration of the Capitol, claiming it was part of a plot to overthrow the American government.

America’s top military leadership has also denounced the event. The senior officers of the Joint Chiefs of Staff condemned the riots at the Capitol, saying it was a “direct assault” on the constitutional processes and illegal. “We witnessed actions inside the Capitol building that were inconsistent with the rule of law. The rights of freedom of speech and assembly do not give anyone the right to resort to violence, sedition and insurrection,” said a statement signed by all eight members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the FBI as it continues its investigations and apprehensions of those who were involved in the infiltration of the Capitol building.
  • For the U.S. government as the House has again voted to impeach the president and the case goes to the Senate.
  • For God’s truth and justice to prevail in the nation.
