U.S. Imposes Sanctions Against Argentina

The tech company provided Maduro with election machines.

Argentinian-owned tech company Ex-Cle created and supplied the Venezualen Maduro government with the voting machines used in what was considered by many to be a fraudulent election. Ex-Cle also developed the software used for the voting machines. On Friday, the Treasury Department imposed sanctions on the company.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo commented on the decision. “Those who seek to undermine free and fair elections in Venezuela must be held accountable.” Pompeo stated that Maduro’s reliance on Ex-Cle “should leave no doubt that the December 6 legislative elections were fraudulent and do not reflect the will of the Venezuelan people.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Mike Pompeo in his efforts to support democracy around the world.
  • That the Treasury Department would use their authority to hold others justly accountable.
  • For the president’s administration as they seek to uphold peace and justice.
