Finding Hope

There is certainty in relationship.

1 John 1:3 – That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

In 2020, it sure seems that America is in the midst of a crisis. Many of the nation’s social, financial, and health systems appear on the brink of collapse.  People are pointing fingers this way and that and looking in anguish for someone to blame. Any sense of certainty has been overwhelmed or shaken. Everyone wants a way out of the current times of trouble. In the middle of these circumstances, hope for many Americans is more than just elusive—it has evaporated into thin air.

God has a desire for people to come to Him. He wants peace and joy for you… He wants the very best!  His peace includes your safety, welfare, and happiness. But He wants you to desire Him! He wants you to seek him. He remains in control; He has what you need. Hope is found in the relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. That relationship will let your heart and mind rise above your circumstances to witness the plans He has for you.

Pray With Us

Holy God, it is such a wonder to me that You have given us the privilege to call you Father. And you are a good Father whose intent it is to bless us, to give us encouragement, and to cause us to rest in hope. Thank You for Your Son Jesus, whose birth we are about to celebrate. Thank You that He was real, that He walked among people, that they were able to enjoy His presence, to eat with Him, and to learn from Him.  Thank You that by faith we can also know Him in a very personal way. Thank You for the hope that He brought to the world. We love You, Father, Amen.

  • Thank God for the personal relationship you have with the Father through His Son.
  • Praise God that you can know that life just doesn’t “happen,” but that He is in control.
  • Pray that God will help you seek Him daily in your Bible reading and study, and in prayer.
  • Pray for any of those around you who do not yet know Jesus to come to saving faith in Him.
  • Thank God that He has a plan for your life and ask Him to reveal what that plan is for you for today.
  • Pray for God to help you in letting tomorrow take care for itself when it comes.
  • Ask God to provide a special blessing to America by showing more of Himself to others.
  • Leave your anxieties for the nation’s future with Him, knowing that your eternal future is secure.
  • Make yourself available to the Lord to use you as He wishes.
