Plans For You

The plans of God may appear unknowable from the earthly point of view.

Isaiah 40:28 – He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable.

Among the adjectives applied to the characteristics of God is the word “unsearchable.”  He does unsearchable, marvelous things, His greatness is unsearchable, His understanding is unsearchable, His wisdom and knowledge are unsearchable, the riches of Christ are unsearchable, His grace is unsearchable. You can probably find more. This doesn’t mean they are unexamined, just that God is so infinite and the things that He does are so vast, they are beyond human comprehension.

With all of that at His divine fingertips, it ought to be easy to trust Him completely. Consider the often-quoted verse in Jeremiah 29:11 that begins, “I know the plans I have for you…” It isn’t you who knows those plans. It’s God! The calling that God has placed on you from before the foundation of the Earth (Ephesians 1:4) is the destiny He has carved out for you. Your loving Father has established a purpose and plan tailor-made for you. When you consider the fragility of life and the uncertainties of the times you are living in, aren’t you glad that His plan for you comes out of all His unsearchableness!

Pray With Us

My Glorious Father and my God, Thank You for the gift of life, and then for redeeming my life eternally.  I acknowledge that I often squander that gift in pursuits that have no eternal perspective. I tend to just live without thinking. I want my life to be significant for You—not for any glory of my own but used in a way that will promote the Savior and His Kingdom. As Your Word says, teach me to number my days until that time when I reach Your heavenly realm. Fulfill Your plan for me. Thank You for hearing my prayer, for I ask it in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

  • Praise God for the unsearchablenesses you have found in God.
  • Thank Him that He and His plan for you are absolutely trustworthy.
  • Pray that God will keep your attention focused on Him and the things that could be a part of His plan.
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to be your guide on prioritizing your time and energy to do what really matters for the Kingdom of God.
  • Thank Him that it is in His plans to help you fulfill your purpose.
  • Pray that God will grow your relationship with Him and draw you close to Christ.
  • Pray that God will use your life to bless others.
