First Lady Unveils White House Christmas Décor

Patriotic theme is “Tribute to the Majesty of our Great Nation.’

First Lady Melania Trump released photographs Monday of the Christmas decorations at the White House. “’America the Beautiful’ Christmas at the White House,” she tweeted.

She said, “During this special time of the year, I am delighted to share ‘America the Beautiful’ and pay tribute to the majesty of our great Nation. Together, we celebrate this land we are all proud to call home.”

Lush Christmas trees are adorned with red tartan bows and ornaments, plus a white and gold floral arrangement in the East Room. According to one report, the “real show stopper” is the over 18-foot-tall official Christmas tree in the Blue Room. The decorations were installed over the weekend after Thanksgiving by volunteers.

In her tweet, the First Lady added, “This weekend, volunteers from all across America have come to decorate the White House for the holiday season. Thank you for your time, enthusiasm, and devotion to make sure the spirit of peace and joy fill the historic rooms and halls of the People’s House.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • With gratitude for the grace and beauty of the First Lady and all that she has brought to festivities at the White House.
  • That a spirit of peace and joy would begin to permeate the people of the United States as part of the Christmas season.
