VP Candidates Prepare for Upcoming Debate

Topic of succession increases in focus after President Trump’s stay at the hospital.

Questions about what would happen in the case of either of the presidential candidates being unable to carry out the requirements of the office loomed large this weekend. As both Vice President Pence and Senator Kamala Harris were busy at work preparing for Wednesday’s Vice Presidental debate over the weekend, the president’s hospitalization brought forward the very real possibility of a VP potentially filling the role of Commander in Chief.

Wednesday’s debate could also be the final time both parties share the same stage before November’s election due to the possibility of the final two presidential debates being canceled due to the president contracting COVID-19. Both candidates for the vice presidency will be making the cases for why their administration would be best suited to lead the country out of the pandemic and the ensuing economic hardship.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to continue to heal President Trump.
  • That God would allow the Vice Presidental candidates to clearly express their platforms to American voters.
  • For the outcome of the election to bring a hopeful future to the nation.
