Tulsa Prepares for President’s Visit

Measures taken to safeguard city as protesters plan nationwide Juneteenth march.

Officials in Tulsa, Oklahoma, said on Friday that they are prepared for up to 100,000 anti-police protesters and Trump supporters to descend on the city. They have boarded up stores and set up metal fences around the BOK Center where President Trump will hold a rally Saturday.

Protesters across the nation are planning weekend-long marches and demonstrations to mark Juneteenth, a holiday that celebrates the end of slavery. They will demand changes in the U.S. justice system and changes in policing.

The venue where the president will hold his rally holds 19,000 people, but has received over a million requested tickets.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That the marchers in Tulsa would remain orderly, calm and peaceful.
  • For police officers in Tulsa as they prepare for the swell of people who represent a spectrum of opinion at the appearance of the president.
  • For the members of the Secret Service and others who work ahead and at the time on the protection of President Trump and those attending him.
