Tours test swab manufacturing facility.
On Friday, President Trump traveled to the state of Maine to visit the small town of Guilford, home to one of the two companies in the nation that makes swabs for COVID-19 tests. During the event, the president highlighted his administration’s efforts to stem the spread of the virus by providing Puritan $75.5 million through the Defense Production Act. This allows the company to produce roughly 40 million swabs a month.
While giving remarks, the president expressed his disappointment over the governor of Maine not reopening the state quicker. He voiced concerns about the effects the delay would have on the state. 13 of Maine’s 16 counties have already been reopened, and it was also the first state in New England to allow diners to eat inside of restaurants.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to keep the president safe on his travels
- That God would use the Trump administration to bring an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- For God to give the president wisdom on how best to bring unity to the nation.
