Victory

Romans 8:31If God is for us, who can be against us?

There are giants in the land in the form of some of the smallest of microbes. Not only are you facing a foe you cannot see, “the invisible enemy,” the president calls the COVID-19 virus, but it is an enemy that is proving to be hard to fight.  Today’s verse is a reminder that God is not only with you, He is FOR you.

When faced with an enemy he didn’t know how to fight, Elijah reminded is servant of God’s angelic army.  “Do not be afraid for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (2 Kings 6:16). Psalm 91:11 reminds you that God has “commanded his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” And if angels aren’t enough, the Lord Himself is with you through His Holy Spirit who “is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

The key to your victory is your faith. “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith”  (1 John 5:4).

Pray With Us

Dear Lord, I know that things across America are beginning to open up, but I am still fearful. The virus seems to be everywhere, and just about when people think infection and death rates are going down, they seem to head up again. You are all powerful, O God, and far greater than any microbe. You could destroy it in an instant, but it remains, and it forces me to grow my faith. Thank You for Your mighty angels and their watch over me and my family. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for the reassurances You give. In You, I will see victory. In Jesus’ Precious Name,

Amen.
