Council on Native American Affairs Re-established

Interior Department to increase cooperation with Indian Nations.

The Department of the Interior announced on Tuesday that the White House would be re-establishing the White House Council on Native American Affairs. This agency will help the Trump administration set policies that support and uplift Indian nations around the United States. This agency is also set to help roll out COVID-19 relief to these various tribal nations.

“Indian Affairs is proud to support the White House Council on Native American Affairs, which will help the Administration be even more responsive to Indian Country and effective in partnering with it” said Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Tara Sweeney. The council will be chaired by Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That Assistant Secretary Sweeney would be an effective leader during these difficult times.
  • For Secretary Bernhardt to be used by God to bring help and hope to Native Tribes.
  • For the Interior Department to work tirelessly to build strong relationships between Native Americans and the federal government.
