COVID-19 Deaths Surpass 50,000 in the U.S.

CDC continues to push for social distancing.

Over the weekend the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 passed the 50,000 mark according to the CDC. Roughly 4.7 million people have been tested in the United States for the virus. Both state and federal agencies continue to monitor the outbreak as they weigh the best course of action to soften the economic blow from the massive stay at home orders, and loss of employment.

Currently, the president’s administration is reviewing federal guidelines that would bring a three-step approach to reopening states when it is safe to do so. The first steps would include increasing the number of companies able to provide curbside service or reopen entirely.  The CDC continues to stress the need for strict social distancing and hygiene as the nation considers the best path to reopening.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to bring an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • For guidance for the Trump administration through this crisis.
  • For Congress to pass laws that would bring relief from the disease.
