Changes Ahead

Malachi 3:6 – “For I the Lord do not change.”

Politicians, business owners, individual Americans are all confident of one thing—a big result of the COVID-19 pandemic will be change. Political ideologies will become more separated, more distinct on one end of the spectrum or the other and there will be little doubt as to where one stands. Businesses will disappear, and for those that survive, procedures will be realigned and values and missions more sharply defined.

Individuals will find growth for themselves and for their families—more together or more apart; more unified in family goals and directions, or more split over them, more confident or more depressed. The middle is eroding away.

What of you? How will your family fare in the midst of change? This is the time to look to the Word of God for direction. Scripture is filled with admonitions on how to live, what to value, who to worship. And regardless of what others tell you, there is one Unchangeable Truth in your life: God the Father and Jesus Christ, His Son, who is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Take heart. He has been with you in all your yesterdays, He is with you today, He will be with you tomorrow and forever.

Pray With Us

Most Holy Father God, what a blessing it is to be reminded again and again of Your presence. And not only that, but that You are unchanging. I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but You do, and I trust You. You are a good, good Father, and You have never failed me. Your comfort and reassurance are exactly what I needed today. I admit to moments of anxiety. Hide me in the shelter of Your wings, where I know I am safe. For Jesus’ sake and in His Name,

Amen.
